🔎 Discovery
I’ll start by reviewing your existing setup – if applicable – to understand how everything works today. At a glance: products, collections, order & customer data, fulfilment workflows and integrations.
We’ll talk through and document technical and operational pain points, as well as exploring design aesthetics and references from other brands and eCommerce sites you admire.
The outcome is a clear but concise technical specification and supporting notes. This gives us what’s needed to define the build clearly, to reach your ultimate objectives.
✏️ UX audit
For existing brands, I’ll analyse how customers currently navigate and convert on your existing website.
Using Microsoft Clarity, GA4 data and industry best practices, I’ll identify friction points, missed opportunities and barriers to conversion.
Each key page/template in the buying journey is reviewed with clear recommendations that inform design and functionality decisions for the next phase of the project. This ensures every suggested UX improvement is grounded in data, not just design preference.
🎨 Design
Based on the findings from discovery, I’ll then produce Figma mockups for all core templates, including:
- Homepage
- Collection pages (PLPs)
- Product detail pages (PDPs)
- Cart & checkout
- Header & footer
- Blog & content templates
Design is mobile-first and supported by a structured component library (typography, colour system, repeated UI elements). Revisions are included to ensure development proceeds cleanly.
🖥 Development
Once approved, development begins in a controlled environment.
For Shopify builds, this includes:
- New store setup
- Payment, shipping and tax configuration
- Shopify Markets configuration (if applicable)
- Custom theme development (based on Dawn or Hydrogen)
- Local development with Git version control
- Staging environment for your review
The theme is built to meet the specific needs of your business, and with long term extensibility in mind.
🚀 Migration, QA & launch
For replatforms, a structured migration plan is prepared and tested ahead of launch. This ensures we have a clear, documented process for go-live and can proactively catch any potential issues.

- SEO redirects are confirmed
- Integrations are tested
- Cross-device QA is completed
Projects include 30 days of post-launch support for any bugs or technical adjustments.
